About Janet Chang

My photo
Janet Chang
San Antonio, TX, United States
Doing art has been a journey I truly enjoy and inspired the most in my life. I enjoy learning the skills from many accomplished artists and exploring places to paint with my artist friends. This is an exciting time of my life. I set goals for this year to paint the subjects that will invoke emotions to me and my viewers. I want to add feelings to my art process in each stroke, the colors and shapes. As Aristotle said, "The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance." A friend asked me what I would do with my many paintings. Yes, I sold some and kept many. My answer was what you would do by reading the books. It is a spiritual part of my life. I can work in stillness, paint silently, engage the dreams, and let the heart dance through my paintings. My oil paintings are being exhibited in the New Braunfels Art Gallery located at 239 W San Antonio St, New Braunfels, Texas. Please come by to visit this beautiful fine art gallery housed in a historical building in downtown New Braunfels, Texas.
