This painting is a study after Julian Onderdonk who was a great Texas landscape painter in early 20th century. Our art class went to see his painting exhibition in Wittie Museum in San Antonio. Seeing his original paintings was a great treat for us artists. Blue bonnet is Texas' state flower. They are potting out beautifully in open fields and by highways around March & April each year. I gave this painting to my college classmate, Tsai YueLing, in Taiwan. Private collection.
